Exercise #4: Set your financial goals. By: Bishop Bernard Jordan
Here are the steps:
Step One: Set goals.
Think of your transformed mind as fuel. Once you do your mental housecleaning and begin saying to yourself, “I am the power of God made manifest. I am unlimited wealth and freedom from want,” that altered reality will begin to penetrate your subconscious and become your reality on all levels. But, to make that leap from thought to physical being, where you not only imagine your wealth but actually have it in your bank account, you must act in the physical world. Here your new thoughts and your vision of what’s possible will fuel and inspire you to plan, set goals, and take specific actions to turn your vision into experience.
When Steve Jobs wanted to build a new kind of computer, he first had to envision a goal, an end point. Then, fueled by his passion for his vision, he set specific goals and took a series of specific actions that ended up bringing that vision out of his mind and into the world – Apple Computers. When you start living the reality of your transformed thoughts, the next thing you must do is ask yourself, “What do I need to do to take the life I envision and bring it into physical experience?” Then start writing down specific goals and making plans. God is a planner. God is the ultimate cosmic architect. His blueprints encompass universes and whole realities. Yours need only encompass your goals.
One caveat: being wealthy is not a goal. That’s a state of being. Perhaps a better question to ask yourself is, how do you want wealth to transform your world? You might want to start a charity for the homeless, send your kids to Harvard, or have enough money to spend six months every year traveling and seeing this amazing world. When you’re thinking about your goals, be specific. Don’t focus on the idea of money, but on where money can take you. Remember, money is God at work in your life. It’s a tool for you to use as you choose.
Step Two: Be consistent.
Once you have your goals in mind and your new consciousness of prosperity, you must meditate on them every day until that new reality percolates down into every aspect of your being. You’ve got to keep giving the car gas so you keep moving forward. Keep proclaiming your new reality and your new prosperity until they filter into your subconscious, so that every night as you’re falling asleep and every morning when you wake, your last and first thoughts are, “I am prosperous. I am wealth. I am unlimited potential.”
As you drive this road, you’re going to run into hills. Keep giving the car gas and take those hills head on. It won’t always be easy, but the longer you persist in proclaiming your new state of being, the more true it will become in your Spirit. Once it’s true in your Spirit, becoming manifest through action is but a matter of time.
Step Three: Act.
Don’t be one of those people who forever make plans and never act on them. Such individuals dishonor God by squandering his potential, and their cup is even more bitter because they have the thoughts already; they just lack the ability to get off their behinds and take action. You can’t live entirely in your mind. You must act upon this physical realm to effect change.You need to make your cosmic “to do” list. You need to plan, to figure out all the small steps you must take to reach your goals, and take them. Every journey begins with a single step. Jesus journeyed one step at a time. So can you.
The absolute need for action, planning, and execution reveals why it’s so important to be consistent and unwavering in thinking and proclaiming your new reality, constantly telling yourself that you are already wealthy and successful. Planning and taking action is hard work, and if you don’t hold the absolute belief that success and abundance are you destiny, you will be more likely to get discouraged and quit before you reach the top of the mountain. But if you are already anointed by your vision and your passion, and your ceaseless proclamation that you are abundance, you won’t waver. You’ll know that you are walking in the steps of Jesus, fulfilling God’s intent for your being, remembering who you are.
So make plans and take action.
Step Four: Be patient.Â
In Ecclesiastes, the Bible says that there is a time to every purpose under heaven. We call that “seed time and harvest.” You won’t be able to achieve all your goals overnight. God ordains each thing to happen in its own season. You are already a millionaire in your consciousness. Now you just have to give that consciousness time and stoke it with action to bring that reality into your physical world. But in some cases, the actions that you take — the seeds you plant — will not produce fruit right away. They will wait until the season is right, which could take months or years. Your task is to maintain your new mindset and to keep acting toward your goal. In time, your seed will spring to life.
Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. Let’s say you have decided that you want to start your own company. You’ve already altered your reality by telling yourself every moment of the day that you are a millionaire and that you have the skills and talents to change the world. Part of your plan is to make contact with people who can bless you with new ideas and skills. You hold to your vision and your plan and venture into the world. One day, you meet someone who shares your ideas. You talk and make a connection, but nothing comes of the meeting immediately. You move on with your plan. Three years later, you get a call from the person you met. He has an opportunity for you. Your passion and vision were so persuasive that he remembered you when the time was right. Yet if you had pursued him before the time was right, you would have appeared desperate.
You must be patient, stay the course, and let things come to bloom in their own time. If you keep to your vision, they will blossom.

How to do the exercise:
Nothing good happens without goals. You cannot “accident” your way to riches. So at this stage, we’re going to look at the specific goals you have for your life. Again, wealth is a state of being, not a goal. What goals do you have for your career, your interests, your relationships and so on? Write down your top three goals for the areas below, and — very important — when you would like them to manifest.
What are the specific goals you have for your life? When do you want to realize them?
Example:
- Launch My Own Independent Lable by 2008.
Example:
-  Lose 40 pounds and run the first marathon by late 2006.
 Example:
- Payoff credit cards debt by Christmas 2007.
  Example:
- Buy a sailboat and sail toTahiti by the time I’m 55
Congratulations. By writing down your specific goals, you have brought them into physical being! You’ve created a future reality where you have done the things that you envision yourself doing. Now all you need to do is catch up to that reality! That’s a divine power to ordain your own destiny, granted to you by God, who created you in His own image, as a Creator unto yourself.

1) I must see to it that Master Prophet and Prophetess Dr. Deborah become billionaires within the next seven to ten years (2015) and will do all I can to assist them wherever I can be of use
2) I shall give birth to the inspired scribe within me and will publish thirty three books within the next ten years on the subject of practical metaphysics, health, business, sales, communiocation and counseling.
3) I want to run a very successful “Inner Cosmetics” company that cures instead of cover. Using my knowledge of marketing, behavior and the creation of products made for use for hair, skin and nails made for healing the image of Khemetic Peoples.

2)To create an investment portfolio of Real Estate by 2008
3) To train and educate my community on the health benefits of drinking Alkaline, Antioxidant water by successfully training and educating 100 distributors to go out and educate the community on how they can get this type of water to drink in their homes by December 2007

at work however I took time to read all of the above
and it is inspiring.
I have been receiving emails and letters and you have inspired me. I understand most of the principles that you lay out so beautifully. I have been down and out and terrified. Things are on the mend and I am getting my life together. I am raising three boys on my own without child support or help from anyone. So I have been going through financial difficultites. I want so badly to send the money to get tapes and teachings. Everytime I get close one of the boys needs new shoes (he grew from size 10-12 in two months) or something gets in the way..
I work as a recuiter and I love my job, I am working on getting my own business together with a partner but I don’t have money to get it set up sooner. So reading everything here I do feel the message is perfect…I just need to find out where I am letting myself down.
